With such a great crowd, we couldn’t miss the opportunity to pay tribute to our outgoing Regulatory Board President, Mariona Rendé, who is stepping down after four years of dedicated service. The official tastings for the 29th Wine Contest took place on May 23rd at Hostatgeria de Poblet, a hotel-restaurant complex adjacent to the Santa Maria de Poblet Monastery. That day, 18 judges spent two hours tasting the contest entry wines. A total of 73 wines (divided into 11 categories) were evaluated: 34 reds, 18 whites, 15 sparkling wines, and 6 rosés. Congratulations to this year’s winners!
