Visits

The l'Espluga de Francolí co-operative winery was built in 1913 under the direction of the architect Pere Domènech i Roura. Because of its monumentalism it is known as the “wine cathedral” of excellence, description attributed by Angel Guimerà during his stay in l'Espluga de Francolí in 1921.

L’Espluga de Francolí has various tourist attractions that complement the winery visits. It is important to add that we can find the Museo del Vino, integrated within the same installations of the Co-operative. The Museum of Rural Life and The Cova Museum of Font Major are must see places, as well as the ancient Sant Miguel church (XIII Century). As important is a visit to the Santisima Trinitat chapel and the ancient bathing zone of Les Masies.
