Rendé Masdéu Cabernet Sauvignon Criança 1999
We elaborate this aged wine withCabernet sauvignon grapes from our vineyard situated in El Peu del Bosc and Las Comas with harsh terrain (Llicorella), blended with 12% Merlot, also from our own harvest.
Both varieties are vinified separately with 10 day soaking for Merlot and 20 for Cabernet. After the coupage is done, we age it in the cellar for 14 months in oak barrels that come from various places, and a year minimum in the bottle. This way we obtain a balanced wine, with a complex aroma and a meaty tannin, long and persistent. It is excellent for accompanying all kinds of meats, cheeses and pates.
This wine has not gone through cold, eventually it may present natural dregs that come from the wine itself and do not diminish its quality.
Merlot media crianza 2000
We elaborate this wine, where Merlot expresses its marked personality, with our grapes from the Les Planes estates. After a ten day soaking, half of the wine goes into the barrel where it ages for eight months, the other half stays in the deposit where it preserves its varietal characteristics.
The result of this mixture is a fresh wine and with character that may accompany with grace plates such as light meats, cod fish and other intense fish plates.
This wine has not gone through cold, eventually it may present natural dregs that come from the wine itself and do not diminish its quality.
Cabernet Sauvignon Reserva 1998
The 1998 harvest has been one of the best wine seasons of the XX Century. With an exceptional base, Rendé Masdéu has elaborated this reserve wine (85% Cabernet, 15% Merlot) which has remained for 22 months in American and French oak barrels and has evolved two years in the bottle. To respect the fullness of its characteristics it has not been through cold and may present dregs.

ARNAU Syrah 2001
A variety planted in the Finca La Muralla estate, touching the Poblet Monastery. The terrain is slate (“llicorelles”) which makes it perfect for obtaining the qualities of the wine: fine aromatic complexity, fresh to the palate and with a subtle blue fruits aftertaste. It has a bright and distinguished violet-red colour. Aged for 4 months in French oak barrels and settled in a bottle for 1 year. |
